It is virtually impossible for an interested buyer to be physically present at auctions anywhere in the world. And yet a serious party wants to participate as fully as possible in buying or selling. Especially at high-value auctions of horses, cars or real estate, it is important that the potential buyer gets a very good idea of what he is actually bidding on. Since this is a valuable commodity, high demands are made in this type of auction. The seller also expects a stable and secure auction environment in which promises are kept. It would be nice if auctions were pulled out into the in an online environment as if it was just like walking around there fysically.
Our partner at We Auction is Paul Rijk. He had, if we do say so ourselves, a pretty genius idea: to create a high-quality platform on which B2B parties can set up an auction completely independently using innovative techniques. We developed the technology based on that idea. With .NET Core, Angular, VueJS, Azure AD B2C and Azure, we built the platform that allows for both hybrid, offline- and online- auctions.
An online environment offers unprecedented opportunities for the auction world. The requirements for such a platform are particularly high when auctioning high-value products. Paul Rijk had been active in the auction world for some time when he was looking for an IT partner to develop WeAuction together. The auctioneer is now really broadening his market through this tool. The hybrid auctions that can be held via WeAuction are especially unique.
In the meantime, we have already made many fine examples of this online application. WeAuction has grown into a major player. For example, camels were auctioned from Dubai via this platform. A worldwide electronics group has also found its way to the new auction method. The electronics group is auctioning second-hand (but still very valuable) medical equipment via WeAuction.
I started with real estate because I know that market well. Now we also auction horses and medical equipment worldwide.
